History

LCC school of business and entrepreneurship was launched from the desire to expand an already successful Lighthouse high school program in Northwest Florida. Established in 2005, Lighthouse Private Christian Academy was created in response to the devastation of many schools after Hurricane Ivan barreled through the Florida Panhandle.

After losing her home to this Cat 5 storm, Joanna Johannes had a calling to start a new school in her community. A business woman and former Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Johannes quickly grew the school to 6 campuses located in 4 counties throughout Florida. Derived from the desire of having the opportunity for Lighthouse graduating seniors to attend a local University with athletics and a hybrid approach to learning, Lighthouse Christian College was launched.
